1. Terms
1.1 The following terms are used in the Privacy Policy:
1.1.i. “Site Administration,” hereinafter referred to as “The Administration,” is a group of employees empowered to manage the Betting Uganda website, who organize and (or) process personal data, and also determine the purposes of processing personal data, the composition of personal data to be processed, actions (operations) performed with personal data.
1.1.ii. “Processing of Personal Data” – any action (operation) or set of actions (operations) performed using automation tools or without using such tools with personal data, including collection, recording, systematization, accumulation, storage, clarification (update, change), extraction, use, transfer (distribution, provision, access), depersonalization, blocking, deletion, destruction of personal data.
1.1.iii. “Betting Uganda” – a collection of interrelated web pages placed on the Internet at a unique address (URL): bettinguganda.ug, as well as its subdomains.
1.1.iv. “Personal Data” – any information relating directly or indirectly to a specific or identifiable individual (subject of personal data).
1.1.v. “Confidentiality of Personal Data” – a mandatory requirement for the employees or other person who has gained access to personal data to prevent their dissemination without the consent of the subject of personal data or other legal grounds.
1.1.vi. “Betting Uganda” – a collection of interrelated web pages placed on the Internet at a unique address (URL): bettinguganda.ug, as well as its subdomains.
1.1.vii. “Subdomains” – pages or a set of pages located on third-level domains belonging to the Betting Uganda website, as well as other temporary pages, at the bottom of which is the contact information of the Administration.
1.1.viii. “User of the Betting Uganda website” (hereinafter referred to as “the User”) – a person who has access to the Betting Uganda website via the Internet and uses the information, materials, and products of the Betting Uganda website.
1.1.ix. “Cookies” – some data transmitted by the web server and stored on the User’s computer, which the web client or web browser sends to the web server each time in an HTTP request when trying to open the corresponding site page.
1.1.x. “IP address” – a unique network address of a node in a computer network through which the User gains access to the Site.
2. Participating Parties
The present Privacy Policy for personal data (hereinafter referred to as “The Privacy Policy”) applies to all information that the Betting Uganda website (hereinafter referred to as “the Site”) allocated on the bettinguganda.ug (as well as its subdomains) can achieve about The User while visiting bettinguganda.ug (as well as its subdomains) and using its other products.
3. General Provisions
3.1. The User accepts the present Privacy Policy and the terms of processing the personal data by using the Betting Uganda website.
3.2. If the User disagrees with the terms of the Privacy Policy, the User must stop using the Betting Uganda website.
3.3. The current Privacy Policy applies to the Betting Uganda website. The site has no control over other third-party sites where the User can be redirected by clicking on the links located on the Betting Uganda website.
3.4. The Administration is not liable for checking the accuracy of the User’s personal data provided on the website.
4. Subject of the Privacy Policy
4.1. This Privacy Policy defines the obligations of the Administration on non-disclosure of personal data and protection of confidentiality of personal data, which the User provides at the request of the Administration during the registration on the Betting Uganda website or when subscribing to the informational email newsletter.
4.2. The User provides the personal data allowed for processing under the present Privacy Policy. The User must fill in the following forms, offered by the Betting Uganda website, that include the following information:
4.2.i. First and last names, or a patronymic of the User;
4.2.ii. User’s contact phone number;
4.2.iii. User’s active email address;
4.2.iv. User’s residence address if required;
4.2.v. Photo of the User if required;
4.3. The automatically transmitted data is protected each time the User visits the website. The information includes but is not limited to the following: IP address, cookies information, time of access, browser data, and history of the previously visited pages.
4.3.i. If the User disables the cookies, some parts that require authorization from the website become unavailable.
4.3.ii. The site compiles statistics about the IP addresses of its visitors. This information is used to prevent, detect and solve technical problems.
4.4. All the information not mentioned above is subject to safe storage and non-proliferation, except for the data stated in clause 6.2 of the current Privacy Policy.
5. Purpose of Сollecting User Personal Information
5.1. The Administration is allowed to use the User’s data for the following purposes:
5.1.i. Verification of the User, who has a registration on the Betting Uganda website, and provides the User with access to other authorized actions
5.1.ii. opening the access to personalized data on the Betting Uganda website to the User.
5.1.iii. Establishing the User’s location to avoid any fraud and provide security.
5.1.iv. Establishment of feedback with the User, including sending notifications and requests regarding the use of the Betting Uganda website and the processing of requests and applications from the User.
5.1.v. Confirmation of the accuracy and completeness of personal data provided by the User.
5.1.vi. Confirmation from the User to create an account, so the User can use other parts of the website,
5.1.vii. Email notifications of the User.
5.1.viii. Supplying beneficial and solid support to the User in case of issues related to using the Betting Uganda website.
5.1.ix. Provision of special offers, emails and news to the User, in case the User consented.
6. Personal Information Processing Methods and Terms
6.1. The User’s data, including personal data, is being processed without any time limit. The processing goes via legal methods, with the use of automated or non-automated tools.
6.2. Authorized bodies and public authorities can obtain the user’s personal data only in compliance with current legislation procedures.
6.3. The Administration is not liable and may not inform the User about the loss or exposure of the User’s personal data.
6.4. The Administration applies all the precautionary measures to avoid any accidental or unauthorized access, destruction, blocking, copying, and adjusting to the User’s personal information.
6.5. The Administration, altogether with the User, applies necessary measures to avoid the loss or revelation of any discrete information of the User that may lead to negative consequences.
7. Obligations and Rights of the Parties
7.1. The User is entitled to:
7.1.i. Making a free choice whether or not to provide the personal data that is obligatory to use the Betting Uganda website.
7.1.ii. Update and adjust the personal information in case of its change.
7.1.iii. Acquire information from the administration about the processing of the personal data if another is not prohibited by law.
7.1.iv. Demand specification from the Administration of his personal data, blocking or eliminating it if the personal data is incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, illegally obtained, or not needed for the stated purpose of processing.
7.1.v Take statutory precautions appointed by law to defend their rights. The user should notify the Administration as specified in clause 10.3. via email address.
7.2. The Administration is committed to:
7.2.i. Use the received data exclusively for the purposes specified in section 5 of this Privacy Policy.
7.2.ii. Ensure the discrete storage of received information
7.2. iii Not to expose discrete information without any permission obtained from the User. Also, not to sell, publish, sell, or exchange and expose the Users data in any way, except for clause 6.2. of the current Privacy Policy.
7.2.iv. Apply the methods to defend the User’s personal data according to the standard used procedure that is applied for this type of information in business transactions.
7.2.v. Block personal data related to the relevant User at the User’s request or his legal representative or authorized body for the protection of the rights of personal data subjects for the period of verification in case of exposing inaccurate personal information or illegal actions.
8. Responsibility of the Parties
8.1. in case the Administration fails to fulfill its obligations, it is liable for the losses and damages to the User’s personal data that occurred while the illegal use according to the law, with the exception of cases 6.2 and 8.2 of this Privacy Policy.
8.2. In case of loss or disclosure of Confidential Information, the Administration is not responsible if this confidential information:
8.2.i. It was revealed to the public before its exposure or loss.
8.2.ii. The third-party acquired it before the Administration did.
8.2.iii. It was revealed to the public due to the User’s consent.
8.3. The entire liability rests on the User for complying with the legal requirements, such as laws, on advertising, defense of the copyright and other connected rights, and the protection of trademarks, without any limitations to the mentioned list, including full responsibility for the content and forms of the materials.
8.4. The User confirms the liability for any data, including, but not limited to, data files, texts, and other written materials to which the User may have access as part of the Betting Uganda website belongs to the person who provided those materials.
8.5. The User acknowledges that the provided information as a part of the Betting Uganda website may be the intellectual property of third parties with reserved rights that belong to other partners, users, etc. The User is prohibited from adjusting, leasing, transferring on loan, selling, and distributing the content (in part or in whole) unless the user gains writing permission for the owners of such content that is backed up by another separate agreement.
8.6. The distribution of text materials, like articles, publications, etc., with public access is allowed only if the User places the link to the Betting Uganda website.
8.7. The Administration does not hold liability for any loss or exposure to the User’s personal information due to the User’s deletion of the information and the inability or capability to save any content and other viable data on the Betting Uganda website or transmitted through it.
8.8. The administration is not responsible for any direct or indirect losses incurred due to: the use or inability to use the site or individual services; unauthorized access to the User’s communications; statements or behavior of any third party on the site.
8.9. The Administration cannot bear any responsibility for any information posted by the User on the Betting Uganda website taking into account but not limited by it: data protected by copyright and any consents of the owners.
9. Dispute Resolution
9.1. Submit a written claim in the form of an electronic proposal to settle the dispute voluntarily. If it fails, the User or the Administration might apply to the court.
9.2. The recipient must inform the applicant about the claim submitted electronically or in writing about the outcome within 30 calendar days.
9.3. The dispute will be referred to the Arbitration Court if an agreement is not reached.
9.4. The present legislation applies to this Privacy Policy and the relationship between the User and the Administration.
10. Additional Terms
10.1. The new Privacy Policy comes into force from the moment it is posted on the Betting Uganda website unless otherwise provided by the new edition of the Privacy Policy.
10.2. The administration is entitled to modify this Privacy Policy without the User’s consent.
